Faith stays strong when Allah comes first

“Why you're different is because you have the message.”

The khateeb, at 8:14

Muslims remain distinct in an age of abundance, secularism, and doubt by recognizing themselves as servants of Allah, holding firmly to the Qur'an and the Prophet's message, and renewing faith through worship, self-examination, community, and trust in the Hereafter.

For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that our faith is a pledge to make Allah our highest priority in everyday life. He appreciated the older people who come to worship despite pain and the young people who come despite distractions. He encouraged us to respond to Allah’s blessings with gratitude and to remember that we will meet Him and answer for our deeds. Staying connected to the Quran and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad helps us care for our faith through doubt and difficulty. As families and a community, we can keep showing up, remind one another of Allah, and ask Him to keep our hearts firm in faith.
