Live now to avoid future regrets

“How many new lives did Allah give you so you could start to plan for the regrets that you know you're going to have?”

The khateeb, at 21:04

The khutbah teaches us to imagine standing at the end of our lives and on the Day of Judgment, then work backward to choose what matters now. Instead of waiting for regret, we should strengthen our relationship with Allah, pray consistently, serve parents, care for family, raise children well, and choose relationships that help us grow. We should also forgive, protect family ties, and be trustworthy with promises, secrets, and responsibilities. Every day is another chance Allah gives us to repair what can still be repaired. The goal is to meet death and the next life prepared, grateful, and free from avoidable regret.

  1. What is one relationship you would like to strengthen this week?

  3. What small good deed can you do today instead of postponing it?
