Death & the hereafterFrom the masjid's own video, Nov 7, 2025.

Live for the Hereafter, not this world

“We live with death on our mind.”

The khateeb, at 18:41

For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that Allah has given us more blessings than we can count, including our faith, our abilities, and life itself. We can show gratitude by remembering these gifts and using them well. This life is temporary, and real success is being saved from the Fire and entering Jannah through Allah’s mercy. Remembering that we will answer to Allah can help us make thoughtful choices and treat others fairly, even when nobody else is watching. The khateeb also reminded us that Allah is forgiving and merciful, accepts repentance, and wants us to take the first step back to Him.

  1. What is one blessing you noticed today, and how could you show Allah your thanks?
  2. What would treating someone more fairly look like at school or at home tomorrow?
  3. When you make a mistake, what could help you turn back to Allah and try again?
