For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah taught that Islam means submitting our whole lives to Allah, and that faith must be joined with good deeds. The speaker reminded us that we have time to live this way now, but waiting until death is too late. Faith gives a person added value by helping us show mercy, goodness, and responsibility to others. We were encouraged to let our conduct point people toward Allah and toward our true purpose, Jannah. The community was also invited to serve by packing meals for people in need and helping clean the masjid.

  1. How can we show mercy to someone this week?
  2. What is one good deed we can do together?
