Today’s khutbah asked us to think about our personal relationship with the masjid, not only its importance. The masjid should become beloved to us and to our children and families, and we should seek to be among those who maintain and fill it. The imam prayed that we live by the Qur’an, remember Allah, thank Him, worship Him well, and keep our hearts firm. He also prayed for oppressed Muslims, especially in Gaza and Palestine, and closed by reminding us of Allah’s command to justice and excellence.
