For the dinner table

Today's khutbah taught us about ihsan: striving for excellence in worship and in everything we do. We worship Allah as if we see Him, and remember that He always sees us. The khateeb encouraged us to worship sincerely and follow the Prophet's example, giving care to our actions instead of simply rushing through them. Allah has blessed us with life, guidance, and the ability to love and care for others, and striving to do good is a way to show our gratitude. He reminded us that Allah rewards our striving even when we fall short, and that our worship benefits us while Allah needs nothing from us.
