Intercession depends on Allah's permission

“It is not a blank check, nor is it related to Allah's knowledge.”

The khateeb, at 51:58

In one sentence

The khutbah argues that intercession (shafa'at) is real but operates only by Allah's permission, so believers should pursue faith, sincere repentance, righteous living, love of Ahl al-Bayt, and Qur'an recitation rather than treating it as a blank check.

Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

The sermon says intercession is real, but only with Allah's permission and never a license to ignore wrongdoing. It urges sincere repentance: feel regret, stop repeating the sin, and keep a life of worship and God-consciousness. Love and loyalty to Ahl al-Bayt, regular Qur'an recitation at home, and preparing spiritually for death are presented as paths connected to that hope. The closing mourning for Imam Husayn and prayers for the sick and deceased invite families to carry faith, grief, and compassion together.
