Sincere obedience brings Allah's shade

“If no one ever knew I did this except Allah, will I still continue this deed?”

The khateeb, at 25:36

In one sentence

The khutbah teaches that believers should build justice, worship, God-centered relationships, self-restraint, hidden charity, and private remembrance upon tawhid and Sunnah so Allah may shade them on the Day of Judgment.

The khutbah in 7 steps

  1. Connects the sun’s terror on Judgment Day to the hadith of seven shaded by Allah.
  2. Explains justice as responsibility toward Allah, family, employees, students, and others under one’s authority.
  3. Urges youth to spend their strength in worship and steadfastness.
  4. Describes attachment to the masjid and friendships grounded in Allah, tawhid, and Sunnah.
  5. Warns men and women against digital temptations and the gradual pathways toward zina.
  6. Presents hidden charity and private tears as signs of sincerity and living faith.
  7. Concludes that all seven qualities must rest on tawhid, Quran, Sunnah, and complete obedience.
Try this week
Practice justice with one’s spouse, children, employees, students, and anyone under one’s authority.
Use youth and strength for worship, resisting the excuse that repentance can wait.
Prioritize the masjid and examine where the heart naturally returns when free.
Build friendships around tawhid and Sunnah, advising and forgiving one another for Allah.
Guard against digital temptations and avoid every pathway leading toward zina.
Give charity privately and ask whether the deed would continue if only Allah knew.
Remember Allah alone, especially at night, while reflecting on sins, death, the Hereafter, and Allah’s attributes.
Strive for complete obedience rooted in tawhid, the Quran, and the Sunnah.

For the dinner table

Allah promises special shade on the Day of Judgment to seven kinds of believers. They include people who are just, young people who worship Allah, those whose hearts are attached to the mosque, friends who love one another for Allah, people who resist temptation, people who give charity privately, and those who remember Allah alone with tears. These qualities grow from sincere belief, tawhid, and following the Quran and Sunnah. This week, our family can practice one by being fair, protecting private choices, serving someone quietly, or setting aside time to remember Allah.

  1. Where does your heart naturally return when you have free time?
  2. What is one good deed you could do this week without telling anyone?
  3. How can a friend help you remember Allah when it is difficult?
