For the dinner table

The khutbah reminds us that this life is temporary and that Allah is testing how we use the time and abilities He gave us. Our homes, cars, phones, wealth, and achievements can be blessings, but they should not make us forget death or the Hereafter. The most important goal is to live with awareness of Allah and remain faithful until the end. True success is being saved from Hell and admitted to Paradise.

  1. What blessing do you have that you should use more gratefully?
  2. What does remembering death teach us about how to spend today?
  3. What would it mean to finish life well?
