For the dinner table

The khutbah taught that sincerity means doing our actions for Allah, not for applause, popularity, or recognition. Honest work, parenting, studying, cooking, charity, and worship can all become ibadah when our intentions are pure and our responsibilities are fulfilled correctly. The Prophet Muhammad and Prophet Dawud were presented as examples of people who worked with dignity. Sincerity is tested most when nobody sees or praises us. This week, we can pause before our daily actions, renew our intention, and keep doing good with excellence.

  1. What is one ordinary thing you do that could become worship through a better intention?
  2. How can you keep doing good when nobody notices?
  3. What responsibility can you complete more carefully this week?
