Allah created each person with a natural fitrah and a unique potential, like a seed that needs care to grow. Our families, neighborhoods, media, habits, and wider culture can either nourish that potential or interfere with it, so we should measure them against the Quran and Prophet Muhammad’s example. Growth begins by yielding our will to Allah and then following His guidance. We should also clear harmful obstacles and help others, because Islam asks us to develop ourselves and serve the community.
