Justice sustains nations and communities

“A father might be oppressing his children and vice versa.”

The khateeb, at 17:07

Justice and obedience to Allah sustain and advance nations, while oppression and disobedience bring instability and defeat; therefore Muslims must remove injustice from public institutions and personal relationships, beginning with themselves.

For the dinner table

The khutbah teaches that justice is not only a religious ideal but also a reason societies become stable and prosperous. The speaker says oppression can happen in governments, families, workplaces, neighborhoods, and even in how we treat ourselves. He warns that copying immoral practices for worldly success can weaken a community rather than strengthen it. Revival begins when each person returns sincerely to Allah, obeys Him, and removes wrongdoing from daily life. The khutbah ends by asking Allah to help and protect Muslims, including people facing hardship in Gaza, Palestine, and Sudan.

  2. Why might a society become stronger when people can speak up about wrongdoing?
