For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that dhikr, remembering Allah, belongs in our hearts, our words, and our everyday actions. He encouraged us to learn Allah's beautiful names, understand them, and use them in dua. Remembering Allah also means following His commands and making life easier for others, even when we are rushing to Jumu'ah or returning to work. When we fall short, we can turn to Allah for forgiveness instead of defending our mistakes. He also invited us to learn honestly from our history and stand up for everyone's rights, with particular care for understanding and reaching out warmly to Indigenous communities in Canada.
