The khateeb reminded us that family problems can stay hidden for years, especially when parents excuse harmful behavior or treat marriage as someone else's responsibility. Allah asks us to be just, even when the truth makes our own child or ourselves look bad. We can begin healing by learning continuously, modeling good conduct, speaking honestly, forgiving for Allah's sake, and seeking help when problems are serious. He also encouraged families to make the mosque part of their children's identity and to return to Allah together.

  3. What does forgiving someone change inside the person who forgives?
