In the khateeb's words
“There is no prophet or messenger after Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.”
“But when they followed Rasulullah, they became the leaders of all people.”
“He said, it's very simple because it's practical. It's about what you do, not what you say.”
For the dinner table
The khateeb described the Prophet Muhammad as Allah’s final messenger and the one who completed the divine message. He said we show gratitude for this blessing by loving and respecting the Prophet, obeying him, and following his Sunnah in what we do. He also asked the congregation to cooperate with the mosque’s new Friday schedule, be patient about the weekend school’s one-month delay, and use the WhatsApp group for updates. The khutbah closed with prayers for the sick, people affected in Sudan, Afghanistan, and Gaza, and the wider Muslim community.
- What is one way we can show love for the Prophet through our actions this week?
- How can our family practice patience when a plan changes?
- Who should we remember in our duas after hearing today’s khutbah?
