For the dinner table

The khutbah reminded us of Musa’s trust in Allah when the sea was ahead and Fir'awn’s army was behind him. Allah can create openings where we see no way forward, so we should rely on Him while still taking action. Muharram and the story of Ashura remind us of the shared message of the prophets and encourage us to increase voluntary fasting. Our time is a gift and a deposit from Allah, so we should use it intentionally by learning Islam, making istighfar, setting good goals, and helping others. Even after many mistakes, Allah’s door remains open to anyone who sincerely returns.
