For the dinner table

Brother Arif reminded us that the masjid should welcome people who need healing and help drawing closer to Allah. Each of us helps create that welcome through our greetings, expressions, and words. Good manners are part of our faith, and everyone has room to grow in humility and kindness. That kindness belongs at home too, in how we treat our families and how we encourage ourselves to improve. He invited us to begin today with one small act, such as thanking someone, greeting someone new, or giving our children a hug.

  1. What could you say to someone visiting our masjid for the first time?
  2. When has someone's gentle word helped you feel welcome or cared for?
  3. What is one kind thing you could do for someone in our family today?
