Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

The khutbah teaches that children are an amanah, or trust, and parents will answer to Allah for how they care for them. Raising righteous children requires more than words: parents should live Islam at home, teach the deen, choose good company, and keep making dua. The speaker shared five Quranic and Prophetic supplications for prayer, protection, righteous descendants, family goodness, and guidance. Parents should ask Allah to guide children rather than curse them, even when children are difficult or far away. Children, in turn, should seek their parents' pleasure, while parents should let them hear loving prayers made for them.

  2. How can we show our parents that we want their pleasure?
