For the dinner table

Today's khutbah reminded us that Jumu'ah is a special day to remember Allah and gather as a community. The khateeb called it the Eid of the week and encouraged us to prepare by washing, dressing nicely, and arriving early. He reminded us to set aside work for worship and to make plenty of du'a throughout Friday. At the masjid, we should respect other worshippers, put our phones away, and listen carefully to the khutbah. As a family, we can help one another make Friday a day of prayer, attention, and care for the people around us.
