For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that the conversations we have in this life reflect the company and conversation we may have in the Hereafter. The Day of Judgment is certain, so we should not postpone repentance or ignore Allah’s signs in the Qur’an and our own lives. We should do small good deeds consistently, while remembering that Paradise is ultimately a mercy from Allah. The speaker encouraged us to notice opportunities to help people, answer their needs, serve those who are struggling, and make dua for them. We can hope to meet our families and righteous friends in Jannah, grateful for the moments when Allah forgave us.

  1. What is one small good deed you can keep doing every week?
