For the dinner table

The khutbah reminds us that Isra and Mi'raj came during a very painful time in the Prophet Muhammad's life. It teaches that being part of his ummah is a great honor, but also a responsibility to follow his sunnah. The sermon especially asks us to protect the five daily prayers, performing them on time with care, love, and reverence. We are encouraged to learn the Prophet's life, send blessings upon him, and revive his kindness, generosity, courage, and good manners. Even when we have sinned or become distracted, we can return to Allah and reconnect with the Messenger's path today.
