For the dinner table

The khateeb described the friends of Allah as people who trust Him, love others for His sake, and remember to prepare for the hereafter. He encouraged us to do good while we are alive, especially by helping people who do not have enough food. Earning a living and caring for our families matter, but chasing money should not crowd out generosity or happy time together. He reminded us to treat people with respect because we cannot know who may be close to Allah. He also urged us to put pleasing Allah first and carry the lessons of Ramadan and Imam Hussain into the whole year.

  1. What would you enjoy doing together that gives us time to talk and laugh?
  2. How could we help someone feel welcome who is usually overlooked?
