The khateeb said his return from Umrah reminded him that Muslims are a global, diverse community united by worship. He contrasted that strength with the suffering and oppression Muslims face in Palestine and other places. Using the Prophet’s teaching about wahan, he said the deeper problem is loving worldly comfort and fearing death so much that people become silent or hesitant. He urged listeners to love Allah and the afterlife, speak up for justice, vote, learn, organize, and join Muslim civic organizations. His closing message was that change begins within us, and that faith should move us to protect human dignity.
