The khutbah explains that the first revelation began with a command to read in Allah's name. Knowledge, reading, and writing are blessings that help people grow, but they should make us humble rather than arrogant. The story of Abu Jahl reminds us that opposition and power cannot defeat Allah's truth. We are encouraged to keep praying, make sujood, and continue practicing and sharing Islam. The khutbah also included prayers for oppressed people and for a community member who passed away.
