For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that iman, our faith, needs care and strengthening every day. He described how the companions’ deep belief in Allah and the afterlife helped them make difficult changes. Drawing on Aisha’s account, he explained that nurturing hearts and their attachment to Allah prepared people to follow His commands. He asked us to remember that our time in this world is brief and to live with a purpose beyond collecting wealth or looking after only ourselves. We can help our children grow in faith and care for the wider community, taking small steps together and remembering that Allah’s mercy is vast.
