Death & the hereafterFrom the masjid's own video, Nov 7, 2025.
Remember death before it finds you
“Death will find you where would you like it to find you?”
In one sentence
Because death is certain and its timing unknown, believers should remember it regularly and let that awareness shape humble conduct, worship, service, and preparation.

Talk about it at home
For the dinner table
The khateeb reminded us that every person will die, even though none of us knows when. Remembering death is not meant to make us hopeless; it is meant to help us live humbly, use our time well, and treat people better. We should prepare through prayer, fasting, Qur'an, du'a, and by learning how to serve families during janazah. He also asked us to choose a daily reminder of death while praying for forgiveness and for people suffering in Gaza, Sudan, and elsewhere.
- What is one thing you want your daily routine to focus on more?
- How could remembering death help us handle anger or forgive someone?
- What kind of service would you like to learn to help your community?
