For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that the Qur'an is one of Allah's greatest blessings and a guide from darkness to light. We should not limit it to Ramadan, special occasions, or beautiful recitation without understanding. The story of Umar showed how reflecting on a few verses can change a person's entire direction. We can grow closer to Allah by learning the Qur'an's meaning and putting its guidance into practice. This week, our family can choose a small, regular time to read, discuss, and act on one passage.

  1. What is one Qur'anic verse you would like to understand better?
  2. Why do you think the khateeb emphasized understanding instead of reciting alone?
