Prepare to meet Allah with righteous deeds

“My aim, my living, my life is for a reason and that is to please Allah.”

The khateeb, at 19:35

Human life is a divinely purposed trust, not a pursuit of money or status, so believers should prepare to meet Allah through worship, righteous conduct, repentance, and following the Prophet's Sunnah.

For the dinner table

The khutbah teaches that Allah created us for a purpose: to know Him, worship Him, and live in a way that pleases Him. Our family, money, homes, and status will not define us in the Hereafter; what matters is our connection with Allah and the deeds we take with us. The imam encouraged us to review our day, follow the Quran and the Prophet's example, guard our eyes, ears, and hands from wrong, and repent when we slip. We should prepare now for the day we meet Allah, hoping for the lasting joy of Jannah.

  1. What is one way our family can please Allah this week?
  2. Which daily choice can help us remember our purpose?
  3. How can we repair a mistake after doing something wrong?
