For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah teaches that Allah values small deeds done with sincerity and consistency. A kind act, such as giving water to an animal or removing something harmful from the road, can carry enormous weight. We should choose one manageable good deed, calling someone, cleaning a shared space, helping a neighbor, or giving a little, and keep doing it. We can also keep our tongues busy with dhikr, including Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi and Subhan Allah al-Azim. The goal is to notice opportunities for goodness and never dismiss a small act of service.

  2. When have you turned a setback into part of your journey?
  3. What helpful thing could we remove, clean, or fix in our neighborhood?
