For the dinner table

The khutbah invites us to keep Jannah in view so the attractions of dunya do not control our hearts. Drawing on Surah al-Waqi'ah, the khateeb describes different ranks in Jannah and says the highest rank belongs to believers who actively live their faith and encourage good, even when that is difficult. The lower Jannah is still a real mercy and salvation from Hellfire, but the sermon urges us not to settle for spiritual mediocrity. This week, we can speak truthfully, share beneficial reminders, and gently stand for what is right. Allah's mercy remains our hope as we strive for the best.

  1. What is one everyday desire that can distract you from remembering Jannah?
  2. How can our family encourage good without making others feel attacked?
  3. Which description of Jannah gave you the strongest hope, and why?
