For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that remembering Allah, thanking Him, and worshipping Him well are lifelong commitments. He encouraged us to pause over the dua asking Allah for help with these things, rather than simply repeating its words. Asking Allah for help goes together with taking responsibility and doing our part. He also encouraged us to protect our attention before prayer by putting away our phones and avoiding distracting conversations. Remembrance of Allah nourishes our hearts and helps us face frightening moments with trust in Him. He ended by explaining that good worship means being sincere for Allah and following the way of Prophet Muhammad.
