For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that Friday is a time to gather and remember Allah, whose remembrance brings peace and light. The speaker said that even in painful or confusing circumstances, Allah may be bringing about wisdom we cannot yet see. He emphasized that every believer is precious and that the Prophet Muhammad’s mercy should shape how we treat ourselves, our families, and our wider community. We were encouraged to read Surah al-Kahf, make sincere dua, invest in young people, and repair what is broken. Finally, the khutbah invited Muslims to cross social and geographic boundaries and work together rather than letting distance divide us.

  1. Where do you feel peace when you remember Allah?
  2. How can our family show mercy and stay connected to another Muslim family?
