For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that Islam places great value on human life and calls us to protect others from harm. He emphasized that our non-Muslim neighbors should also feel safe with us. Remembering people killed at a masjid, he spoke about their families, everyday hopes, and the kindness children remembered. He urged us to see people as more than numbers and to care about suffering even when it happens far from our own homes. He also reminded us that crime has no race or religion and called on Muslims to stand together in solidarity.
