For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that the Quran is Allah’s guidance for our whole lives. The khateeb encouraged us to understand and reflect on its meaning so that it shapes our behavior and how we treat other people. He explained that the Sunnah shows us how the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, put that guidance into practice, including how to pray. He urged us to stay connected to the Quran every day, even a little, and to share what we learn. As a family, we can help each other learn and show that learning through patience, kindness, and being trustworthy neighbors.

  1. When could we make a little time to read and understand the Quran together?
  2. What could we do this week to help a neighbor feel cared for?
