For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah taught that the Prophet’s mercy included understanding that different people need different kinds of guidance. It also reminded us that no one else can complete our worship and preparation for the Hereafter for us. Instead of being distracted by questions we cannot control, we should ask what we are preparing to meet Allah. Simple acts such as greeting people warmly, feeding others, praying at night, and giving small gifts can make a community more loving and safe. The khutbah encouraged us to serve our community and care for those around us.
