Jumu'ah is presented as a special weekly day and prayer that deserves deliberate preparation. The khateeb encouraged bathing, dressing well, coming early, praying voluntary rak'ahs, sending blessings on Prophet Muhammad, and reciting Surah al-Kahf. After prayer, worshippers should seek the special time for dua, especially late Friday afternoon. During the khutbah, everyone should listen quietly, avoid phones and unnecessary movement, and not pass over people; anyone arriving late should pray two brief rak'ahs and then listen.
