For the dinner table

Sha'ban is a month to get our hearts and habits ready for Ramadan. The khateeb reminded us that our deeds are presented to Allah daily, weekly, and yearly, and that broken family ties can keep deeds from being presented. He encouraged fasting in Sha'ban and spending more time with the Quran, even by joining others if reading is difficult. He also called us to justice, patience, steadfastness, and treating others as we want to be treated. We should use this month to repair relationships, worship more intentionally, and pray for Muslims facing hardship, including in Gaza.

  1. What is one small Quran or fasting habit we can start this Sha'ban?
  2. Is there a family relationship we can strengthen with a call or kind message?
