Ramadan should lead to lasting worship

“There will be no day in which I will not read the Quran even if it's one ayah, even if it's half a page, one page.”

The khateeb, at 19:41

For the dinner table

The khutbah reminds us that strength, wealth, youth, and even memory are temporary gifts, so we should not let them make us forget Allah. Our real hope belongs in Allah's mercy and in Jannah, while every passing day is an opportunity to add good deeds. Ramadan should change us beyond its final night through small, steady habits such as daily Quran and regular salah in the masjid. Even if we feel we wasted the month, Allah's doors of mercy remain open, and we can return to Him. A lasting change over the next eleven months is a hopeful sign that Ramadan benefited us.
