For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that saying the shahada should lead to visible action. He taught that our values shape our emotions, and those emotions can move us toward prayer, learning, service, and justice. Through examples from the lives of prophets and their families, he emphasized trusting Allah while still doing our part. He urged Muslims living in America to soften their hearts through the Quran and resist becoming numb to suffering. This week, we can pray together, attend classes, help people in need, and keep improving our faith.
