For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that a strong Muslim community begins with people taking responsibility for their own growth and helping one another. He encouraged us to keep learning and serving instead of becoming too comfortable with our current efforts. He described the masjid as a center of community life, where children grow, young people find mentors, and families receive support. That work needs all of us to participate, rather than leaving everything to a few people. As a family, we can look for a regular way to give our time, care, or resources so our community can flourish.

  1. What is one way our family could help at the masjid this week?
  2. Who helps you feel welcome in our community, and what do they do?
  3. What could you share with someone else, your time, a skill, or a listening ear?
