For the dinner table

Today's khutbah reminded us that life in this world is temporary and that every person will return to Allah. The death of 25-year-old Uzma Hassan made that reminder especially close, while the imam asked us to hope in Allah's mercy for her and patience for her family. We were encouraged to make the hereafter our main concern, use the Quran and Sunnah for direction, and review our deeds before death arrives. We can honor this reminder through righteous actions, janazah prayer, and sincere dua for the family.

  1. What is one good deed you would want to do today if you remembered life is temporary?
  2. What helps you remember what really matters when worldly worries feel overwhelming?
  3. How can our family support someone who is grieving?
