For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us to ask Allah to make prayer sweet in our hearts. Continuing Luqman’s advice to his son, he explained that faith and worshipping Allah alone are the foundation of our good deeds. He described Jannah as a gift of Allah’s mercy and generosity, something our deeds alone cannot earn. When we pray, give charity, or do other good things, we should thank Allah for guiding us and ask Him to accept our efforts. Instead of thinking we are better than others, we should stay humble, treat people with care, and pray for ourselves and for them.
