For the dinner table

In this Eid khutbah, we heard how Ibrahim faced difficult tests with trust in Allah, and how his family showed patience and faith. The khateeb encouraged us to follow that example through obedience, remembrance of Allah, and sacrifice for His sake. He compared remembrance to planting seeds for our place in Paradise. He also asked us to reach out to relatives, share with people who are poor or displaced, and take the first step toward ending quarrels. As we enjoy Eid with our children, we can remember those facing hardship and share what Allah has given us.

  1. What could help you remember Allah during an ordinary school day?
  2. Which relative could we reach out to this week, and what would you like to say?
  3. What could we share to help someone facing hardship this Eid?
