The khutbah taught that a real friend stays loyal, gives honest advice, and helps us remember Allah. Our companions can shape our character, so we should choose people who encourage prayer, goodness, and integrity. Bad company may lead us away from righteous actions little by little, even when its harm is not obvious at first. The speaker also reminded parents to know their children's friends and protect the values they are teaching at home. We can all ask whether our friendships bring us closer to Allah and whether we treat others as we would want to be treated.

  1. Which qualities make someone a true friend?
  2. How can we help a friend choose something good?
  3. What can parents do to learn about and support their children's friendships?
