Today's khutbah reminded us that qurbani is about drawing closer to Allah. The khateeb reflected on Ibrahim and his family's sacrifices, highlighting their trust, patience, and willingness to obey Allah. He encouraged parents to pray for their children's goodness even before they are born. He also described how the Prophet included the whole Ummah in his qurbani. As we prepare for Eid al-Adha, we can reflect on our intentions, give willingly, and consider how our giving can benefit others.
