For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that Muslims love and honor Prophet Isa, Jesus, peace be upon him, and that his miracles happened by Allah’s permission. The khateeb explained that the Holy Spirit refers to Jibreel, through whom Allah supported Isa. He shared a moral story about a man who hid the truth about eating bread and later became attached to mountains of gold. The story warned that greed can harm us and that possessions cannot give us everything we need. We were encouraged to tell the truth, share generously, admit our mistakes, and do the right thing even when nobody is watching. The khutbah ended with hope: Allah accepts the repentance of those who turn back to Him.
