The khateeb presented Ibrahim’s story as a way of life shaped by faith, sacrifice, and trust in Allah. He reminded us to make time for the Qur’an and warned that chasing worldly things can make our hearts less attentive to prayer and people who need us. He described how Hajar nurtured her son’s connection to Allah and how Ibrahim and Isma’il worked together in service of Allah’s house. He encouraged us to build families rooted in belief, shared worship, learning, and good deeds. He also reminded us that worship should lead to action, such as helping at the masjid, visiting the sick, and giving from what Allah has provided.

  1. How could our family help someone using our time or energy?
  2. What good would you like people to remember you for?
