Love the Prophet more than yourself

“Why must we love the Prophet in the first place?”

The khateeb, at 5:32

Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that loving Prophet Muhammad means more than simply saying we love him. He brought Allah’s guidance, was sent as a mercy to all creation, worked to keep people from Hell, and cared for his community deeply. We can show that love by learning his path, treating people justly and kindly, avoiding harm, and helping our masjid and neighbors. The imam also reminded us to cross streets safely, pray for the sick and deceased, and offer our skills and time to the community.
