For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah taught us that part of beautiful Islam is leaving alone what does not concern us. We should avoid gossip, spying, and conversations that divide people, and instead give sincere private advice, reconcile, and speak words that bring unity. The imam also reminded families that children learn from the environments and habits they see, so prayer, remembrance, and good example matter. We can each focus on what Allah has asked us to do, speak truthfully, and work together to become better servants of Allah.

  1. What is one conversation or habit you could leave this week because it does not help you?
