The khutbah teaches that Hajj and Eid al-Adha remind us of Ibrahim’s complete submission to Allah. Our lives are gifts from Allah, so they should be dedicated to Him from beginning to end. Udhiyah helps us appreciate the sacredness of life and encourages us to take worship seriously rather than always choosing the easiest path. What we eat and how we practice can show that we worship Allah alone. The khutbah closed with prayers for Palestinians and reminders to live with justice and goodness.
